Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as
Suisse Normandie, the retreat rests within the beautiful valley of the River Orne
overlooking a large lake and surrounded by woodland. The peace and
tranquillity of the area makes it an ideal setting to ‘get away from it
all’ and is a perfect place for quiet reflection. It
means a chance to relax, recuperate and recharge the batteries.
Our journey with our retreat started
in 2002. We were taken with its relaxing energy.
The two acres of pinewood with streams & springs added to its magic and
mystery. The sauna & spa we installed to accompany the swimming pool has
proved to be wonderful after a morning of yoga or a long walk.
The local area around the lake
gives an opportunity for walking, riding, boating and water skiing as
well as dining ‘al fresco’. Paris is only 2 hours to the east and
the lovely old town of Bayeux , the Normandy beaches and the port of
Caen are about 1hr to the North.
The nearest town is Falaise, (home to
William the Conqueror) and every Saturday it hosts a traditional French
market where it is very easy to while-away the morning sipping coffee in
the Market Square. |

Assistance available with journey planning
and travel booking. We are situated in Lower Normandy (northern France) 45 minutes
south of the city of Caen. It is easily accessible from most parts of
the UK.
